Nothing is too crazy, of course you can always encounter wildlife along the way, such as wild boars, red deer or roe deer and of course sheep, birds of prey or a fox. You can spot them on foot, but also with a guide or by car. There are also several wildlife/observation screens placed on the Veluwe from which you can see the wildlife. The best chance is early in the morning or at dusk in the evening. Every time is an experience. Be sure to bring your camera.

It is a vast area with various natural landscapes of heaths and pine trees or deciduous trees, heathlands, grass plains and sand drifts. In the De Hoge Veluwe National Park you can grab white bicycles and enjoy the vast plains. There are 40 kilometers of cycling routes in the park. But there are also many hiking trails to explore on foot.

In Elsberg there is a beautiful natural observation post on a hilltop where you can be indoors but also outdoors and there is certainly a chance that you will spot game. It is also definitely worthwhile to experience the rutting season of the Deer in September/October.

The Posbank is a 90 meter high hill that offers great views over the area and the sparkling heathland, something you must have seen at some point. It is located near the municipality of Rhenen in De Hoge Veluwe National Park, which also has a high lookout tower; a great place to enjoy the view.
